Online betting firm Flutter appoints new directors to board

Flutter Entertainment, the world’s largest online betting firm with annual revenue of $11.79 billion, has announced the appointment of Christine McCarthy, former finance chief at Walt Disney, to its board of directors. The company also added Robert Bennett, former director at Warner Bros Discovery, to its board.

Christine McCarthy will join Flutter’s audit committee, while Robert Bennett will serve on the risk and sustainability committee. Both appointments are effective from July 30.

Christine McCarthy, a 23-year Disney veteran, served as CFO from 2015 until June of last year. She has held several leadership roles at Disney and is currently a director at Procter & Gamble.

Robert Bennett has previously been the president and chief executive officer of Liberty Media. He currently serves as a director at HP and Liberty Media.

In May, Dublin-based Flutter named Rob Coldrake as its new group CFO, replacing Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson, who will also step down from his role as executive director.

Flutter Entertainment, the world’s leading online sports betting and iGaming operator, has reported revenue of $11.79 billion with net loss of $1.21 billion in 2023. Flutter has 12.32 million customers on its betting network.
