Aristocrat is the latest company to support the responsible gambling organisation, BetBlocker.
BetBlocker operates as a registered UK charity that has a free-to-use app which blocks online gambling websites.
The desktop version will block over 84,500 sites, while the mobile app has 1,500 sites and gambling apps blocked.
At the time of writing, BetBlocker is active on almost 15,000 devices and comes programmed with parental controls to limit additional adult content.
Aristocrat isn’t the only company which has seen potential in the organisation either, as Stake also entered into a similar deal with the charity.
Duncan Garvie, Founder and Trustee for BetBlocker, said: “The BetBlocker project has gained significant momentum over the course of 2024, with recognition from some of the most prestigious and knowledgeable organisations in the sector, and the support of industry event organisers to help raise awareness of the service we provide.
“But the simple truth is that none of what we do would be possible without the donations we receive from socially conscious businesses across the sector.
“The BetBlocker team and I are very grateful to Aristocrat for the support they’ve offered.”
Aristocrat will support BetBlocker through donations to ensure that the app can continue to support people who are struggling with gambling-related harm.
Garvie continued: “That support ensures that we can continue to support the tens of thousands of people who use BetBlocker every day to help them manage their access to gambling responsibly and minimise gambling harms.”
BetBlocker is available on Windows, Linus, Mac, Android, iOS, Fire OS and AppGallery.
