NFL is back for the 2024/25 season, and the Kansas City Chiefs start their bid for a third consecutive Super Bowl title against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to become the first back-to-back champions since the New England Patriots in 2004.
However, no team has ever won three Super Bowls in a row, so a piece of history is up for grabs for Patrick Mahomes and co.
The Ravens, who enjoyed a strong 2023/24 season winning 13 games and losing four, are familiar foes that will be out for revenge.
The Maryland-based franchise saw their own Super Bowl dreams ended at the hands of the Chiefs in the playoffs in January.
But with Lamar Jackson at quarterback, they will hope to make it to the showpiece final this time around.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens: Team news
The Chiefs have a lot of injury concerns to contend with, the biggest being that of Marquise Brown, who has a shoulder injury and hasn’t trained.
Elsewhere, Nazeeh Johnson, Curtis Jones, Joshua Williams, Nick Bolton, Wanya Morris, Derrick Nnadi, Joe Thuney and James Winchester have all returned to training.
The Ravens don’t have too many absentees heading into the first game of the season.
They are without outside line-backer Adisa Isaac due to a hamstring injury, while running back Rasheen Ali has a neck problem that has limited his training.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens: What has been said?
After losing out to the Chiefs in the post-season last year, Jackson is raring to go but he doesn’t see this as a revenge game.
He said: “Any game I play in, I feel like it’s a revenge game.
“I’m not just going to look at this game like a revenge game. Anybody we play, no matter if we’ve beaten them or lost to them in previous years, I just want to win.
“We have to win regular season games [in order] to get to January.
“We can’t just go into the season and go 5-12, because then we’re not going to be in the playoffs. Playoffs are on our mind, but at the same time, we have to win this game that’s ahead of us.
“I’m ready to go. I’ve been going against my guys for weeks.
“It’s time to go against somebody else.”
