It’s here, St Leger Day, and what a race it is shaping up to be.

But away from that, we have some top-class action across the Irish Sea with the Irish Champions Weekend.

The odds are in, so here are the best horse bookmakers offering the top betting odds for all this weekend’s horse racing betting tips.

  • Leopardstown 1:10 Chantez
  • Leopardstown 2:50 Porta Fortuna
  • Leopardstown 4:00 Kinesiology
  • Musselburgh 4:45 Antonin Dvorak

Leopardstown 1:10 – Listed Ballylinch Stud Irish EBF Ingabelle Stakes (7f)

The top two in the market have already met this season over course and distance on their debuts. CHANTEZ, who finished a head second, was just under 4 lengths ahead of Bubbling.

The market now has Bubbling installed as the favorite after a 5-length victory on yielding ground at the Galway Festival. However, Chantez has also gone on to win over course and distance by an easy 3 lengths.

There isn’t much separating them in the market, but I don’t see any real reason why Bubbling should reverse that 4-length deficit, especially since Chantez has shown significant improvement from the first to the second run.

I’m expecting a big performance from Chantez today.

Mojave River was impressive on debut in France and may prove to be the best of the rest.

  • Selection: Chantez 9/4
  • Danger: Mojave River 5/1
  • Current Betting: Bubbling 2/1, Chantez 9/4, Mojave River 5/1, Nancy J 16/1, And So To Bet 20/1, Easy Mover 20/1, 25/1 bar.

Leopardstown 2:50 – Group 1 Coolmore America ‘Justify’ Matron Stake (1m)

After being narrowly denied in the Qipco 1000 Guineas, PORTA FORTUNA has gone on to record back-to-back Group 1 wins.

She thrives on a fast surface, and following a flawless performance in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes, there’s every reason to believe Porta Fortuna is more than capable of securing her third consecutive Group 1 victory.

Jancis was impressive over 7f here last time, making it 2 from 2, and with the extra furlong likely to suit, she could run a big race at her odds.

Also, don’t rule out Fallen Angel, who was an impressive front-running winner at the Curragh last time out.

  • Selection: Porta Fortuna 11/8
  • Danger: Jancis 9/1
  • Current Betting: Porta Fortuna 11/8, Fallen Angel 7/2, Ylang Ylang 13/2, Jancis 9/1, Soprano 14/1, Rouge Millennium 16/1, 20/1 bar.

Leopardstown 4:00 – Group 3 Tonybet ‘We’re Here To Play’ Stakes (1m4f)

This is a wide-open race where you can make a case for the majority of the runners, but the one I like at a price is KINESIOLOGY.

He’s only been out of the top two once in his career, and that was on his debut in July last year.

Admittedly, he’s only managed to win once, and you might think that with four second-place finishes in his last five starts, he’s not genuine. But that’s not the case.

He was first past the post in a 1m4f Listed race over course and distance last time, only to lose the race in the steward’s room for interference with the runner-up. Before that, he just missed catching the front-running The Euphrates at Gowran Park.

The step up in Group company is well deserved, and he looks overpriced here for a horse with his profile.

  • Selection: Kinesiology 9/1
  • Danger: Trustyourinstinct 4/1
  • Current Betting: Klodike 3/1, Trustyourinstinct 4/1, Sumiha 9/2, Euphoric 9/1, Kinesiology 9/1, Thunder Roll 9/1, Yasjin 14/1, 25/1 bar.

Musselburgh 4:45 – EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes (7f)

Pimlico Racing looks to have a potentially exciting horse on their hands with ANTONIN DVORAK.

Sent off as the warm favourite for his debut over course and distance at the end of last month, the rain that fell before racing was not ideal, but he still ran a race full of promise. Outpaced and a bit green just over 1f out, Antonin Dvorak did well to keep going and secure the runner-up spot.

He’s sure to have learned a lot from that run, and an improved performance can be expected today.

Any normal improvement from the first run to the second should make him hard to beat today.

  • Selection: Antonin Dvorak
  • Danger: Kirkdale
  • Current Betting: N/A
