Rangers vs Dundee preview
There’s a semi-final spot up for grabs on Saturday night when Rangers and Dundee meet in the Premier Sports Cup quarter finals.
Gers – who finally return home to Ibrox this weekend – ended a long two-week wait after their thumping at Celtic Park with a 1-0 win away at Dundee United.
The hosts didn’t offer much that day and Philippe Clement’s side were really strong in the first half before the game faded away into a poor contest after the break.
New signings Nedim Bajrami and Hamza Igamane looked lively off the bench and have given some hope to the Light Blues’ support.
This is the competition they won last year and will have eyes on defending that triumph this year.
To do so they’ll have to get beyond a Dundee side who’ve gone off the boil slightly after a strong start to the campaign.
Their 2-0 defeat at Ross County made it three without a win for Tony Docherty’s men and ended their unbeaten start to the season.
That included scoring 24 goals in just FIVE League Cup appearances before this tie.
