Rangers vs Hibs preview
Ibrox will be fully opened on Sunday when Hibs are the visitors, in what will be a massive lift for Rangers.
They’ll come into this one full of optimism and riding high after Thursday’s 2-0 win at Malmo in the Europa League.
It was a result they’d have bitten your hand off before the game but having seen how poor the Swedish side were, Gers could and should’ve put up a terrific score line to boost their goal difference.
The game could’ve been over by half time with the chances missed and questionable refereeing, and Cyriel Dessers and Neraysho Kasanwirjo – making his full debut – squandered incredible second half chances.
But yet another clean sheet will be a huge positive for Philippe Clement, with the home side failing to register a shot on target across the 90 minutes.
It’s back to league duty and with Celtic playing the night before, they’ll know the gap heading into this one and they’ve certainly got the momentum to keep things going.
Hibs ended a five-game run without a win to beat St Johnstone last time out – a result the Saints hierarchy seen as so bad they got rid of Craig Levein.
On the flip side, it’s three games without defeat for the Hibees after some iffy early season form.
They’ve lost the last seven games against Rangers, though….

Like midweek, Rangers should be too strong for this Hibs side who’ve shown very little this season.
There’s a decent depth in the Gers squad now that hasn’t been there previously.
