Kilmarnock vs Celtic preview
It’s back to the day job for Celtic, who’ll no doubt still be flying high after their incredible performance against Germany’s RB Leipzig midweek.
The Hoops came from behind to win 3-1 and clinch a THIRD successive Champions League home victory at Celtic Park – the first time that’s happened since November 2007, under Gordon Strachan.
Celtic are 15th out of 36 sides in the Champions League’s new format – but they reign supreme on the domestic front.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are top of the Scottish Premiership after securing nine wins and a draw from their opening 10 games of the 2024-25 campaign.
They lead Aberdeen on goal difference having netted more goals (29) and conceded the fewest (3) of any side in the division, boasting a +26 goal difference – +19 better than Rangers.
They might just fancy extending that advantage on Sunday when they visit Kilmarnock, who they’ve beaten 4-0 and 5-0 in their last two H2H meetings.
Killie, meanwhile, enter the clash in eighth position having blown a two-goal lead against Dundee last weekend.
Derek McInnes acknowledges that they need to make it “difficult” for the league leaders when they come to Rugby Park but knows it will be a “huge challenge”.
But they should take confidence from their previous meetings having won two of the last three against Celtic on home turf.

Kilmarnock vs Celtic preview betting tip and prediction
Emphatic
It looks a very bad time to be playing Celtic, especially when you’re struggling to keep clean sheets.
Rodgers’ side netted four in the reverse fixture on the opening day of the season, and has scored 3+ in 11 of their 18 games in all competitions this season. Kilmarnock collapsed against Dundee last weekend while only St Johnstone have conceded more than their 23 league goals this campaign.

Goalscorer
The outstanding Nicolas Kuhn inspired Celtic to victory midweek, and we’re backing him to continue his good run of form at Rugby Park on Sunday.
Kuhn, 24, netted a brace against RB Leipzig to take his season tally to nine goals and ten assists in 16 appearances in all competitions. He also netted in the 4-0 rout earlier this season and should start having been taken off with 20 minutes remaining earlier this week.
