Arsenal v Crystal Palace Tips: Nwaneri and Eze to shine in our 10/1 Bet Builder

Midweek action means the EFL Cup this week with eight Premier League teams bidding for a place in the semi finals in 2025.

Wednesday night features three games including a London derby as Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal take on Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.

With Arteta looking to keep the Gunners fighting across all fronts in 2025, this is a crunch game, so let’s get some Arsenal v Crystal Palace betting tips.

Both teams to score: Yes
Ethan Nwaneri to score or assist
Eberechi Eze to score or assist

WHEN: Wednesday, 18th of December, 7:30pm

After reaching the quarter and semi finals of the EFL Cup in Arteta’s first two full seasons at the club, Arsenal were dumped out in the Third Round in 2022/23 and the Fourth Round last season – by Brighton and West Ham respectively.

A quarter final spot this season marks an improvement up against a Palace team who have not reached the last four since 2012.

This should be a fascinating clash, with Arteta and Oliver Glasner both set to make the traditional cup rotations, but with plenty to play for.

A cup success would slightly ease some of the focus on Arteta’s struggles to win a Premier League title but Palace are in firm ‘would love a cup run’ mode.

Glasner has really steadied the ship in recent weeks, with just one defeat in their last seven Premier League games, in a run of form that exactly mirrors Arsenal in league action.

The key here could be the fresh faces coming in, and with Arsenal boasting a deeper squad, that could just tip the balance for them to win inside 90 minutes.

Palace will not make it easy for them, with the Eagles scoring a total of eight goals in their three EFL Cup games this season, with both teams to score coming in across all three.

Arsenal’s defence is a looking a little leaky at the moment, with some key players out injured, and that gives Palace a chance.

Teenage star Ethan Nwaneri should be one of Arteta’s changes, after starting in the two previous rounds, against Bolton Wanderers and Preston.

He scored in both games, with three goals overall, and looks set for a key role again for the hosts.

Eberechi Eze has only managed one Premier League goal this season, but he scored in his last two appearances in the EFL Cup, against QPR and Aston Villa.
