Joe Sacco’s crew looked to be down and out on Tuesday but rallied two goals down to complete the comeback winning 4-3 in overtime against the Calgary Flames. The Bruins have been lighting the lamp of late scoring at least four or more in three of their last five contests.

Kris Knoblauch’s men hosted the Florida Panthers on Monday in a Stanley Cup rematch. Both clubs traded blows but the high-scoring affair went in favour of the Panthers winning 6-5, halting the Oilers’ winning streak at five.

Boston Bruins at Edmonton Oilers predictions

Facing his two previous employers, Elias Lindholm and the Bruins are hoping he is finally fitting into this squad after a misfortune start. The free-agent signing has collected three points in his last two games, adding to his season total of 16 points through 33 games.

Scoring the game-winner on Tuesday in OT, David Pastrnak bagged his 12th goal of the campaign. The 28-year-old currently is the Bruins top-producing point-getter sitting with 33 points in as many games.

Putting in a hard shift on Monday in a losing effort, Zach Hyman put two shots past the goalie, extending his scoring streak to three games. In 606 career NHL games, Hyman has stockpiled 414 points participating in his 10th year in the league.

It was also a productive evening for Connor McDavid in the losing cause in the Cup Finals rematch. The Oilers’ captain amassed three assists in 23 minutes of ice time. His triple assist night saw McDavid increase his season total to 30, which is currently the fifth highest in the NHL.

After three solid outings in the blue paint, Stuart Skinner was overwhelmed by the Panthers on Monday. The netminder allowed six goals off 28 shots he faced. In 21 starts this year, the 26-year-old currently possesses a .892 save percentage while owning a 2.98 GAA.

Boston Bruins at Edmonton Oilers tips

Despite Boston winning six of their last eight contests, we feel the Oilers will bounce back and find their groove again on home ice. Edmonton are also in good form of late they seem to be trending upwards with their skill players now carrying the load and are getting decent support between the pipes.

When McDavid and Draisaitl are going, so do the rest of the squad, and now that both players are doing what they do best, it will be hard for the Bruins to contain them on Thursday. Boston is currently averaging 3.15 goals allowed per game, and facing a squad that can light the lamp at any given moment could spell bad news for the visitors. We feel on Thursday the hosts in this affair have more than it takes to find themselves in the win column again.
