Andrew’s best Saturday horse racing betting tips [November 9, 2024]

We have a jam-packed Saturday ahead of us, and I have three selections that I see coming out on top.

So, let’s not waste any more time.

You can also get the best online bookmakers to place your next winning bet.

Best Saturday horse racing betting tips

  • Aintree 12:55 Uncle Bert
  • Wincanton 1:09 Tedley
  • Wincanton 2:23 Insurrection

Aintree 12:55 – BoyleSports Best Odds Guaranteed Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (3m1f)

Last week, we thought we were onto a winner when UNCLE BERT was well backed into 6/4 from 9/2. But as quick as the race started, it was over as Uncle Bert began to hang badly off to his left, eventually being pulled up before the eight fence.

He’s back on a left-handed track, which is a big help here. With the step up to three miles plus looking well within his range, we can recoup our losses from last week.

Wincanton 1:09 – BetMGM Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase (2m4f)

TEDLEY made it a perfect two-from-two over fences with a smooth win at Wetherby last time out. He won by just over one length (ten lengths back to third), but it was much more comfortable than the winning margin suggests.

He has been handed a six-pound raise in the weights by the handicapper, but the way he travels and jumps his fences suggests that more than a six-pound raise is needed to stop him from making three in a row over fences.

I expect him to be very hard to beat here.

Wincanton 2:23 – Grade 2 Boodles Rising Stars Novices’ Chase (2m4f)

It’s a tight race that could revolve around how forward Handstands is for his chase debut, but he will have to be on his ‘A’ game to get the better of a race fit INSURRECTION.

It’s no secret that the Paul Nicholls string has been looking in need of their first run of the season, and Insurrection looks like the type that will take a big step forward from his first run to the second.

He travelled and jumped well throughout until he made a tired-looking mistake two out. Again, he was not fluent over the last, which eventually saw him run down by Springwell Bay. He did well holding off the race-fit Boombawn for second after those two mistakes, and he will face off with Boombawn again here.

He should have come on a lot for that, and with a clear round, he can go one place better today.
