Atalanta vs Celtic preview
Everything was so rosy for Celtic before matchday two and that visit to Dortmund.
The 7-1 drubbing came a few days after a 6-0 win over St Johnstone and the Hoops looked like making a real statement this year.
But since then they stuttered to a come-from-behind win over a struggling Ross County and chucked away a two-goal lead at home to Aberdeen on Saturday.
One or two little murmurs are starting to come out now and Brendan Rodgers’ side could really be doing with getting back on track with a positive result here.
Atalanta have won three on the spin and are yet to concede a goal in the Champions League after a 3-0 win at Shakhtar and goalless draw at home to Arsenal.
They’re in sixth in Serie A and six points off leaders Napoli but there’s no question they’re in decent form coming here.
Celtic will need to be at their best to get any sort of result and that starts with a better defensive showing.
