Axiom Manufacturing Services Recognised Among UK’s Top Manufacturers at Elektra Awards

Axiom Manufacturing Services has been honoured as one of the UK’s top manufacturers at the prestigious Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards.

Competing against leading electronics manufacturers across Europe, including global multinationals, Axiom earned a Highly Commended distinction from Elektra’s panel of judges. This recognition celebrates the company’s significant investments, robust sales growth, and partner acquisitions.

Organised by Electronics Weekly magazine, the Elektra Awards highlight achievements in the design, development, manufacturing, and distribution of electronics products within the EU and beyond.

Managing Director Chris Nye, said:

“Elektra’s recognition, and the achievements over the past year that led it, are a credit to our entire team. Together, we will continue to build on that legacy of success to secure our projected record-breaking double-digit growth and set new standards for our industry.

“Our continued investments into our team and facility are set to ensure that Axiom remains at the forefront of driving new innovations and exceeding standards for quality and reliability. This is the advantage our customers have learned to expect from Axiom, and we are proud to see that Elektra’s judges recognise our ability to make possible.”

Axiom’s success in the Manufacturer of the Year category underscores its impressive progress during a period of strategic investments and notable customer acquisitions, it said. The Newbridge-based contract electronics manufacturer specialises in bespoke design, build, and test solutions for world-leading customers in the aerospace, defence and security, medical, and industrial sectors.

In the 2023-24 fiscal year, Axiom maintained a turnover of around £55 million for the third consecutive year. This achievement comes despite challenging conditions, including rising costs, political uncertainties, and ongoing global supply chain disruptions impacting the manufacturing sector, said the firm.

Over the past year, Axiom has invested more than £1.5 million in advanced surface mount technology and green infrastructure. These enhancements expand its printed circuit board assembly manufacturing capabilities while also reducing its carbon footprint.

With a record-breaking order book for the coming year, Axiom is poised for continued growth, it said. To support this momentum, the company has launched a major recruitment campaign, offering opportunities across engineering, account management, and other roles.
