Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M3, late 2023)
* Average price in the past six months: £1,376.31. Cheapest price in the past six months: £1,299.00
- Apple M3 processor
- 8GB Ram
- 512GB storage
We like: Great speakers
We don’t like: Stingy Ram for the price, expensive upgrades
This 14-inch laptop from Apple features the impressive M3 processor.
It weighs 1.53kg, which is pretty heavy for a 14-inch laptop, but understandable considering the all-metal body. However, it has an impressively thin 18mm chassis.
So is it worth its high price? Our Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M3, late 2023) review reveals the answer.
HP Pavilion 16-af0002na
* Average price in the past six months: £927. Cheapest price in the past six months: £780
- Intel Ultra 7 processor

We don’t like: The screen could pop out more
This is a powerful large laptop that should have sufficient specs including 16GB Ram future-proof it for years to come.
Its giant 1TB SSD should mean you don’t have to worry about running out of storage space. It weighs 1.72kg, meaning it’s still reasonably portable to take round with you despite its larger screen.
Read our expert review of the HP Pavilion 16-af0002na to see if it meets your needs.

We don’t like: You can’t have more than one user profile

Being a top-of-the-line tablet, it has all of Apple’s latest tech, such as the new dual-OLED displays (one on top of the other for extra brightness) and the M4 processor.
Aside from the size of the screen and the resolution, the 11-inch Pro is the same as the 13-inch.
How did it perform in our independent lab tests? Read our expert Apple iPad Pro 11-inch 7th generation (2024) review for all the answers.

- Average speed 75 Mb/s
- £22/month
- 24 month contract
We like: It’s a decent speed
We don’t like: The price may change
This is a particularly attractive fibre broadband deal given the 75Mbps average speed.
Keep in mind that Now Broadband occasionally implements ad-hoc price increases (social tariffs excluded).

- OLED display
- HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision formats supported
We like: It’s easy to use
We don’t like: Lacks some accessibility settings
This high-end TV has plenty of gaming features and other nice-to-haves. There’s a microphone in the remote, so you can use Alexa, Google Assistant or LG’s own ThinQ voice assistant to control many aspects of the TV.
It has a 100/120Hz screen, plus you get a built-in twin-tuner PVR, so you can record from two channels at once and watch TV on another channel while recording.
You need to connect a USB hard drive to take advantage of this feature, though.

- Bagless and cordless vacuum cleaner
- 0.9 litre dust capacity
- Weighs 3.3kg
We like: The long runtime
We don’t like: It’s hard work to push on carpets
This model comes packed with innovative features including a ‘Slim Fluffy’ soft roller floorhead, which has a green laser diode to illuminate the hidden dust in your home, and dust sensors that record how much dust you suck up (and categorise it by size into a colourful bar chart on the digital display).
Two other floorheads – the ‘High Torque’ cleaner head and mini turbo tool, feature anti-tangle technology – designed to prevent the brush bars from clogging with hair.

Bosch KGN492LDFG
* Average price in the past six months: £910. Cheapest price in the past six months: £855
- Freestanding
- Frost-free freezer
- Silver-coloured
We like: It’s quiet
We don’t like: Don’t be swayed into buying it on account of the holiday mode: our tests of this feature on other models found it’s often not worth the hassle
This silver-coloured freestanding fridge freezer has five shelves in the fridge compartment, three of which can be adjusted to accommodate a few larger items.
There are also three egg racks and four compartments in the fridge door. The freezer has three drawers and one ice-cube tray.
Settings include an economy setting and rapid cooling and freezing for when you’ve just introduced a large batch of food that needs to be chilled or frozen quickly.

Best air fryer deal
Tefal Easy Fry Dual Air Fryer & Grill EY905D
* Average price in the past six months: £173. Cheapest price in the past six months: £110
We like: It’s quiet
We don’t like: It weighs 8kg, which is heavy but not unusual for a large dual model
Unlike many other air fryers that are made from plastic, the outside of this one is covered in stainless steel. It measures 31 x 42 x 40cm (H x W x D).
Easy Fry Dual has two different sized drawers – a large drawer with a capacity of 5.2 litres and a smaller has a capacity of 3.1 litres, according to Tefal.
The digital display allows you to switch between six auto programs: fries, chicken, vegetables, fish, dessert and dehydrate. If you’re not a fan of those, you can adjust the temperature manually.
Read our full Tefal Easy Fry Dual Air Fryer & Grill EY905D review.
Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone AF400UK
* Average price in the past six months: £202. Cheapest price in the past six months: £150.
We like: It’s easy to clean
We don’t like: It uses more energy than others
This air fryer has a total capacity of 9.5 litres, split between two 4.75-litre drawers. When it is completely full, Ninja says it can feed around eight people.
Each drawer can run its own program and timings, and there’s a useful sync function that ensures the food in both drawers is ready to serve up at the same time. It does this by starting the slower program first, so both timers hit zero simultaneously.
Read the full Ninja AF400UK review to check whether the large capacity means it’s right for bigger families.

Best mattress deal
Jay-Be 2000 Hybrid E-Pocket Eco Truecore
*Average price in the past six months: £274.60. Cheapest price in the past six months: £233.21
We like: It feels cold to lie on, it’s not too bouncy
We don’t like: Non-removable cover, no sleep trial
The Jay-Be 2000 Hybrid mattress includes an 18.5cm pocket spring core, with a 2.5cm mini pocket spring core above it and several layers of polyester webbing. It’s 24cm deep.
The term ‘hybrid’ is slightly confusing in the case of this mattress. Hybrid mattresses are usually a mix of pocket springs and foam layers, but there is no foam in this mattress.

There is a delay start of up to 20 hours, a child lock and a time-remaining display.

- Freestanding
- 10kg cottons capacity
- White
We like: Comes with a five-year guarantee
We don’t like: Smaller than average opening
Another LG washing machine with a very generous capacity, this model can hold 10kg of cottons. It has 12 different wash programs to choose from too, including a 40-minute TurboWash that can tackle a 5kg half-load.
It has a spin speed of 1,400rpm and an energy rating of A. If you’re the forgetful type, you might find the AddWash feature comes in handy at times too – it allows you to add in extra items once the program has started.

The Ordo Sonic + has four modes (clean, white, massage, sensitive) that are selected through the menu displayed on the brush below the power button. It’s comfortable to use and can be charged with a USB cable.
It’s currently in the Black Friday sales at Boots and a few other retailers – we haven’t seen it much cheaper than this in the past six months.

What will be on offer in the Black Friday sales?
You can buy pretty much anything in the Black Friday sales. These are just a few of the best deals we spotted last year:
- Samsung’s QLED TVs used to be top of the range, but Neo QLEDs and OLEDs now take the top spots, so we saw the Samsung QE55Q80CATXXU for a great price.
- We found the Asus ZenBook 14 Flip OLED UP3404VA discounted to £799, about £300 off its regular price.
- If you were after a short broadband contract, Now’s Broadband Super Fibre was just £23 a month with a £10 upfront cost.
- The pricey Dyson Gen5Detect cordless vacuum was available for £699 – still punchy but you got a lot of features for the money.
How long does Black Friday last?
The Black Friday sales seem to start earlier and earlier each year, with many retailers discounting products throughout November.
This year, Black Friday falls even later than it did in 2024 (Black Friday 2024 is on 29 November and Cyber Monday is on 2 December). So this year, we’re expecting retailers to kick off their early deals on 1 November.

Black Friday shopping tips
Get ahead on the Black Friday deals with our top shopping tips and advice on your consumer rights.
Check the Which? website
As well as finding you the best deals this Black Friday, we’ve also put together a list of the best and worst shops.
We’ve quizzed thousands of Which? members on their experiences of shopping in some of the country’s best-known stores and websites, as well as their experience buying lesser-known brands.
After crunching the numbers, we can reveal which retailers score highly on product quality, range and value for money.
To see which retailers impressed in our shopping survey, head over to our extensive guide on the best and worst shops.
Watch out for sneaky Black Friday tricks
Some retailers use underhand tactics to pressure you into making a purchase.
These include anchor pricing (when products are on sale more often than they aren’t), pressure selling (’30 people are viewing this right now!’) and dubious claims about the ‘before’ price of a product.
If you’re unsure how good a deal is, use a tool such as PriceRunner to compare prices across retailers.
Find out how to get the best price when shopping online.
Research customer reviews
It’s always a good idea to read reviews before you buy a product, but bear in mind not all reviews are trustworthy, as some sellers incentivise people to post fake positive reviews to drown out genuine negative ones.
If you’re in any doubt, check out our expert guide on how to spot a fake review.
Returning goods
Whether you bought a product in-store or online, you still have rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
The regulations give you a 14-day window to return a non-faulty product, which begins on the day you receive your goods. Many retailers will give you longer than this, but it is always best to check before you buy.
