Bet365 Sportsbook has two advantageous welcome offers for new customers to begin their sports betting experience. While many of the best U.S. online betting sites only have one promotion for new users, bettors who register for Bet365 have a choice.
The first option is a “First Bet Safety Net” promo where, if your first bet loses, you’ll receive the full amount (up to $1,000) in “bonus” bets. It’s like a refund.
The second option is a “Bet $5 Get $150” offer that gives you $150 in bonus bets in the form of site credit after placing your first wager of at least $5.

What to Look For in a Sports Betting Bonus
Here are some things to look for when considering a sportsbook promotion.
- Bonus Type: Most new-user bonuses either offer bonus bets for wagering a small amount or refund your first wager if it loses. Bet365 offers both, as you can either get $150 in bonus bets for wagering $5 or receive a bonus bet up to $1,000 if your first wager loses.
- Eligibility: Many promotions are only available to new customers who haven’t signed up for that specific sportsbook before, and there are often age and state requirements as well. Bet365’s offer is only for new customers who are of the legal gambling age in a state where Bet365 is operational.
- Wagering Requirements: To qualify for a promotion, your wager may need to meet certain criteria. It may need to be a certain amount or over a certain odds threshold. For Bet365’s “bet and get” bonus, you must wager at least $5 at -500 odds or longer.
- Minimum Odds: A qualifying bet may have minimum odds to prevent customers from betting on heavy favorites (i.e., -200 or longer). Bet365’s “bet and get” offer has minimum -500 odds, but there is no odds requirement for the “first bet safety net” offer.
- Validity Period: The amount of time that a bonus is valid for. Your bonus bets will be forfeited if your account is inactive for over 90 days.
- Maximum Win/Bonus Cap: Some bonuses cap the amount of money you can win with them to protect sportsbooks from losing too much money. Bet365 does not have a maximum win amount on its bonus bets.
- Bet Type Restrictions: Some promotions only allow certain bet types to be eligible for a promotion or prevent you from using your bonus on certain betting markets. There are no bet restrictions for either welcome offer at Bet365.
The bonus code FORBES can be used during registration but does not change the offer amount.
