Winna.com, a crypto-focused casino gaming platform that debuted this past summer, has successfully secured $15m in seed funding.
Although the identities of the investors remain undisclosed, the substantial backing demonstrates confidence in the brand’s approach to online gaming.
The company plans to channel the funds toward expanding its portfolio of games, as well as accelerate its growth.
Since its launch just a few months ago, the platform has already attracted over 10,000 active players, according to the company.
Winna.com’s co-founder and CEO, Paul Martens, emphasised the rising popularity of crypto casinos, attributing their success to the unique features they offer compared to other iGaming platforms.
“We are set to transform the online gaming experience by developing unique games, delivering a one-of-a-kind VIP program, and setting new standards for trust and transparency in the industry,” said Martens.
The platform, which Martens explained to NEXT.io would have an Anjouan gaming licence in January, allows users to gamble with enhanced privacy and anonymity.
Provably fair gambling
Winna.com promises transparency through the integration of a provably fair gaming system. This approach ensures that game outcomes are fair and can be verified by other platform users.
A provably fair gaming system is a technological innovation used in online gambling, particularly in crypto-based platforms, to ensure and demonstrate that game outcomes are fair and free from manipulation.
This system relies on cryptographic techniques to allow players to independently verify the fairness of each game result.
Currently, Winna.com offers a diverse range of provably fair crypto games, including popular titles like Blackjack, Dice, Keno, Roulette, and more.
The platform also provides access to over 4,000 slots, live casino games, and game shows from industry-leading providers such as Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming, and Pragmatic Play.
Beyond its casino offerings, Winna.com operates a crypto-first sportsbook, providing live coverage of more than 10,000 events across 100+ tournaments.
The sportsbook features all major US sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, UFC and MLB, as well as the Premier League.
Looking ahead, the company plans to leverage its new funding to expand its gaming portfolio, with a particular focus on player-versus-player (PvP) games.
This strategic move aims to capitalise on the growing demand for interactive and competitive gaming experiences in the crypto casino sector.
