Former
Chelsea and England goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain on Manchester United’s transfer activity after losing key players
over the summer including goalkeeper Mary Earps, Katie Zelem and Nikita Parris:

“I
think they’ve made some good signings, they signed Melvine Malard on a permanent, she
was on loan last season.

“Dominique Janssen who’s a very experienced
international player, Elisabeth Terland from Brighton who’s shown to be a really exiting
young player and Celin Bizet from Tottenham who had a fantastic season last year.

“So
they have bought some good quality players in but when you have that much
upheaval it’s interesting to see how quickly they can settle, how quickly they
can start because in the WSL there’s not a lot of games in the season so you’ve
got to hit the ground running, you’ve got to get results from the very
beginning.”
