I covered the West Ham game at the weekend against Chelsea (where they lost 3-0) and that’s always tough for me, it’s like watching your two of your kids argue!

Chelsea were outstanding, and West Ham were equally not as good, there were so many holes in their game.

That means this game at Liverpool takes on extra significance because they need a result.

I think Liverpool might take their foot off the pedal a little, and I think West Ham can get a draw inside 90 minutes, and then go on to win on penalties.

I like that about the League Cup, that it goes straight to penalties if there’s a draw, so for a bit of extra value I’ll add in the 1-1 draw at odds specially boosted from 9/1 to 10/1 by Paddy’s traders!

Once we get to that stage, I’ll go for West Ham to win it on penalties.

I think Man United can get a win here, but it still seems to be the same old story with them, and we keep talking about the inconsistency in this team.

They put together a couple of good performances, and then they’ll look stagnant in a game, or maybe nick and win and look brilliant.

Erik ten Hag has rested a lot of his reputation on winning those two trophies at United, some people will focus more on league position, but I’m a romantic and I’m with him on the trophy wins.

But even with rotations, I fancy them to bounce back from the Crystal Palace draw, and get a win here.

I expect to see Marcus Rashford come back into the team, we don’t know the reasons behind why he was dropped at Palace, and United will rotate.

I fancy him to come back, and despite having the weight of the world on his shoulders, he should score.
