This week’s Gianni Buttice FPL Tips see the respected Fantasy Football expert highlighting three budget strikers to look at transferring in ahead of Gameweek 10.
FPL Tips For Gameweek 10: Three Budget Forwards To Look At
Chris Wood (6.4 million) and Matheus Cunha (6.5 million) are getting a lot of attention in the FPL community and rightly so.
Wood has been scoring goals for fun, whilst Cunha has two 9-point returns in his last three games and a brilliant fixture run ahead.
If, however, funds are tight and you’re shopping for a forward priced 6 million or lower, perhaps you’re selling Dominic Calvert-Lewin then there are still plenty of explosive options. These are my top three:
Yoane Wissa (5.9m)
Is only 4% owned and now back from the injury that saw him miss three gameweeks. He racked up an impressive 1.44 XG last time out and is the number 9 for a team that always find a way of producing a high number of big chances.
Brentford face Fulham in Gameweek 10 in what is a big derby day for them and goals are expected.
Bryan Mbeumo is the main man for the Bees and is of course on penalties, but the attacking double up is an attractive prospect for the next four games or so with Fulham, Bournemouth, Everton and Leicester up next.
Strand Larsen (5.5m)
Is a proper differential at sub 2% ownership. The Norwegian has started every league game this season and starting to look more confident as Wolves’ number 9.
Three goals so far is a credible return given the difficult fixtures which are about to turn.
Wolves undoubtedly have the “easiest” fixtures of all teams throughout November and December and if you fancy them for goals and can’t afford Cunha then Strand Larsen is a good alternative that could match the Brazilian for points if things fall his way.
Three home games in the next four against Crystal Palace, Southampton and Bournemouth offer good potential.
Raúl Jiménez (5.7m)
Started the season as second choice but since Gameweek 4 has been a permanent fixture as the leading number 9 at Fulham where he has contributed 4 goals and 1 assist.
Only six forwards have more FPL points than the Mexican, all of which have played more minutes. Fulham are an exciting attack under Marco Silva and there is lots of creativity behind Jiménez who offers consistent goal threat and shot volume.
This is without doubt the best form we have seen from him in a Fulham shirt and with Brentford, Crystal Palace and former side Wolves as his next three opponents, surely, we can expect more goals.
