Leicester City and Tottenham meet at King Power Stadium on Monday, August 19, in an intriguing Premier League clash at 3:00 p.m. ET on USA Network.
Leicester won the Championship in 2023-24 to earn promotion back to the Premier League after an 18th-place finish in 2022-23 resulted in relegation.
Tottenham enter the 2024-25 season with high expectations after Manager Ange Postecoglou helped Spurs improve from an eighth-place finish in the Premier League in 2022-23 to fifth place a year ago, just two points behind fourth-place Aston Villa.

Leicester City vs. Tottenham Betting Analysis
There’s rarely a ton that needs to be said when comparing a newly promoted side like Leicester and one like Tottenham, which is expected to battle for a top-four spot this season.
Leicester, which competed in the Premier League from ’14-15 through ’22-23, is not your typical promoted club. Still, Leicester face a massive uphill battle against an opponent like Tottenham (per Transfermarkt, Leicester’s roster is worth is just over 200 million euros, while Monday’s opponent boasts a roster valued at 816.7 million euros).
Tottenham spent big this summer, acquiring multiple likely starters in Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke and 18-year-old Archie Gray.
The former is coming off a 19-goal season for Bournemouth last year. Gray is unlikely to be an everyday starter for Tottenham initially, but he looks like a future Premier League star after starting 40 games in 2023-24 in his age-17 season for Championship club Leeds United, which finished third in the league and nearly secured promotion.
Between Son Heung-min, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Solanke, Tottenham should have no trouble scoring goals this season, especially with talented attacking midfielder James Maddison’s (nine assists in 2023-24) knack for giving Tottenham’s forwards quality opportunities.
Leicester City vs. Tottenham Best Bets
Tottenham should no problem scoring goals against an opponent that was in the Championship a year ago and lost both its manager, Enzo Maresca, and its best player, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, to Chelsea this summer.
Even if Leicester manages to keep this game close early, expect Solanke, Son and Co. to give Tottenham some breathing room at some point in the second half. Leicester City Manager Steve Cooper appears to be in for a long season, starting with Monday’s opener against a talented opponent with legitimate hopes.
Prediction: Leicester City 0, Tottenham 2
