Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry Fight Odds: Who Is The Favorite?

After months of hype, Jake Paul’s anticipated fight against Mike Tyson was postponed after Tyson suffered a medical emergency last month. The fight, which was originally scheduled for July 20, 2024, has been pushed back to November.

While Tyson recovers, Paul will fight on July 20. On June 18, Tyson’s replacement was officially announced.

Paul will face Mike Perry in an eight-round boxing match at Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay. The news was first reported by Happy Punch and confirmed by Most Valuable Promotion.

Perry also confirmed the news on his X account, writing “I promise to give the world the fight they wanna see!”

The fight will be contested at cruiserweight with both fighters using 10-ounce gloves. It will be available to stream on DAZN pay-per-view.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry Fight Line

Perry, 32, is a star of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and a former UFC fighter with an MMA record of 14-8 with 11 knockouts.

“Platinum” Perry is listed at 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 170 pounds with a 71-inch reach.

That’s smaller than Paul, listed at 6 feet, 1 inches tall with a 76-inch reach. Paul has added weight in preparation for the Tyson fight, giving him a size advantage against the Michigan native.

“Problem Child” boasts a superior boxing record as well. He’s 9-1 in 10 career fights with six knockouts, whereas Perry got knocked out in the fourth round of his lone boxing match against Kenneth McNeil on March 28, 2015. He hasn’t fought in a professional boxing match since then but has won all six of his post-UFC bouts, including five in the BKFC ring.

Not surprisingly, Paul opened as an early betting favorite against Perry. At offshore sportsbooks, Paul is a -230 moneyline favorite to win the fight while Perry is a +175 underdog.

U.S. online sportsbooks haven’t released odds for the fight yet, but they’ll likely be similar to those at offshore books.
