Liverpool vs Brentford preview
The Arne Slot reign gets its first Premier League home game on Sunday with Brentford making the trip north.
It was a game of two halves in the opening game at Ipswich for Liverpool, with the first half a bit stuffy as the Portman Road side got their first glimpse of top flight football in quite some time.
But in the second half the Reds were sensational, scoring twice but creating enough chances to win four or five games in the end.
The football was quick, intricate and dynamic and it must have fuelled optimism in the support about the season ahead.
Brentford themselves started with a win at home to Crystal Palace, despite Ivan Toney missing out for the Bees.
Thomas Frank explained that ‘things were happening’ with regards to a move away, though later quelled that by saying a move away ‘was not close’. So it remains to be seen if he’ll be involved this weekend.
What TV channel is Liverpool vs Brentford on can it be live streamed?

What is the team news?
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has a decision to make at centre-back, having hooked Jarell Quansah at half time for Ibrahima Konate. That could be the only change.
While Joe Gomez was left out last week amid interest from other clubs, but no move has seemingly materialised and could be involved here.
Ivan Toney’s involvement is a big one for Brentford having missed last week, though it’s not likely he’ll be involved this week either. While Aaron Hickey, Rico Henry, Igor Thiago and Joshua Dasilva remain out.

Liverpool vs Brentford betting tips and predictions
Jot-a bit about him
Diogo Jota missed a sitter last week, planting a free header from six yards wide. But he showed his class to be in the right place at the right time to score moments later.
Keeping fit will be his big battle this year as he seems to always score when he’s involved and keeping his place up top here can see him add to that goal last week. Scored in Anfield game against Brentford last season, too.

Mo to come
Mo Salah scored and got an assist last week. Granted the opposition might not be the toughest he’ll face this season but their certainly looked to be an edge returning to his game.
Has scored in all three of the last meetings against Brentford, including once either side of half time in the last home game. Looks a cracking bet.
