Whether it’s based on simple principle because we hate the teams/individuals for rivalry reasons or because they’ve burned us so many times in the past on bets, us degenerates all have those teams/individuals we refuse to bet on, right?

For me, add Juventus to my list forever!

The Italian soccer club has been my nemesis over the last few weeks in this column, and on Sunday they cost a good friend of mine over $16k on a $100 eight-team parlay.

BE GONE, BIANCONERI!

Anyway, on to positive news, as this is the last weekly column of mine for a while that won’t feature Monday Night Football!

We do have a college pigskin game tonight though, and I’ll also take a shot with some baseball and Argentine soccer.

Boston College at Florida State, 7:30 p.m. ET

The Seminoles got no luck from their Week 0 trip to Ireland as they fell on a late field goal to Georgia Tech.

That game was only nine days ago, which means FSU players may still be feeling a little jet lag-induced grogginess tonight.

Boston College, meanwhile, will play their first game under former Yellow Jacket assistant and NFL head coach Bill O’Brien.

Last year, BC only lost by two to the Noles, and starting QB Thomas Castellanos, who threw for 305 yards and ran for 96 yards in that narrow loss, is back for more this season.

Sure, FSU will be a little annoyed after that wasted trip across the pond, but with fresher legs and minds plus last year’s tight affair, I like the Eagles to keep this one within two scores.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Arizona Diamondbacks, 4:10 p.m. ET

This potential NL Championship series preview has been an entertaining one so far, with both teams scoring runs for fun.

We wrap things up with a pitching matchup that should favor the division-leading boys in blue coming off their worst loss of the season.

They will throw Jack Flaherty, who has gone 3-1 with a 3.49 ERA in five starts since being acquired from the Tigers just over two months ago. He’s also a very impressive 6-2 with a 2.55 ERA on the road this season and got a win in Phoenix in mid-May, allowing just two runs over six innings.

Arizona, meanwhile, will start Eduardo Rodriguez, who owns a plus-5.00 ERA since missing most of the season with a shoulder injury.

The Dodgers will be looking to prove a point in winning the series and not let the DBacks get within four games in the NL West.

Gimnsia La Plata vs. Argentinos Jrs, 4 p.m. ET

Round 13 of the Argentine Primera League season wraps up with a couple of matches Sunday.

This earlier of the two games features a Gimnasia side that has gone five straight matches in all competitions without either team scoring multiple goals versus a visiting squad that has scored a meager eight total goals on the campaign and currently sits in the bottom quarter of the table.

As they’re playing pretty well of late—going four undefeated in all comps – I fancy a 1-0 or 2-0 win for the home team here, so let’s go for a sneaky parlay.

Gimnasia L.P. to win and under 2.5 goals (+280 on DraftKings)
