More than half (55%) of respondents said they bet on most NFL games. This is more feasible in the NFL than in other sports like MLB, NBA and NHL, all of which have longer schedules and many more regular-season games.
With up to 16 NFL games every week during the regular season (most of which take place on Sunday), it’s easy for bettors to pick a game or matchup they want to bet on.
Additionally, each week usually has multiple high-visibility primetime games, which NFL betting sites heavily promote.
40% of these respondents bet on most college football games
There’s much overlap between college football and the NFL, as the NCAA is a feeder system for the pros. Many top college players go on to become stars in the NFL, which has made many NFL fans invested in college football.
College football games are played almost every day during the fall, with most games on Saturdays. Many of these games are nationally televised, giving NFL bettors robust opportunities to dabble in college football.
With over 100 FBS schools, there are far more college games than NFL games in a season. Accordingly, it’s harder for bettors to wager on every game or most games.
