Slotegrator has released a new industry guide on gambling advertising regulation.



The guide describes the most common restrictions regulators impose on online casinos and betting platforms, and examples of how different countries define them.

The report also provides insights into PR, player acquisition and player retention from the perspective of marketing.

“It’s hard to overestimate the importance of responsible gaming and player protection. From this perspective, strict regulations seem very reasonable,” said Slotegrator’s head of marketing, Svetlana Kirichenko.

The guide comes as advertising restrictions form arguably the backbone of regulatory debates in many gaming markets.

In Europe, the Netherlands, Belgium and Bulgaria have all implemented some form of gambling advertising restrictions.

Meanwhile, debate is brewing in many circles in Australia over a blanket ban on gambling advertising.
