The company aims to offer a solution that includes trading, product development and technology to streamline sportsbook operations for online betting operators.
First Sportsbook’s offering includes a trading team of 180 professionals who will reportedly create and manage thousands of betting markets. This team plans to work alongside 270 specialists in product and technology development.
The solution incorporates algorithmic tools and trading systems designed to provide odds and profit margins.
The company is led by CEO Tom Light, who previously served as SVP of Business Development at SBTech. He joined SBTech in 2014 and aided the company in becoming a provider of sports betting and gaming solutions. Light commented: “At First Sportsbook, we are committed to reshaping the sports betting landscape with our online betting solutions and I am personally excited to bring our vision to the forefront of the industry.”
First Sportsbook employs approximately 450 people, divided between trading and product development, with the goal of ensuring a balanced focus on both operational and technological aspects.
Before founding First Sportsbook, Tom Light was involved in a blockchain and gambling venture after his tenure at SBTech.
