St Mirren vs Rangers preview
It might not have been a terrific performance on Saturday but for Philippe Clement and Rangers it was all about the three points in the 1-0 win over Dundee.
They’ve now leapfrogged Aberdeen into second place in the Premiership and cut the gap to Celtic down to nine points now.
It was a decent bounce back from Hampden disappointment and kept their good run going heading into a crucial period.
It’s the first of three away trips in 11 days for Gers, with a home Old Firm crammed in there for good measure too.
And with only Ross County scoring fewer away goals than Rangers, it could be a really testing time.
With the Hoops playing earlier in the day, this will either present a good opportunity to close the gap even further or force them to keep it to nine points.
St Mirren’s topsy-turvy campaigned continued in the Highlands over the weekend as they scored an 89th minute winner with 10 men to beat Ross County.
Saints sit in sixth and have collected 14 of their 24 points at home.
