The Swedish gambling regulator has prohibited operator Versus Odds from offering its services to players after ruling that the company does not have a licence.

Spelinspektionen said Versus Odds operates several online gaming sites such as Thor Casino and Wolfy Casino and that an investigation found these sites did not have a licence.

However, the probe found the platforms were accessible by Swedish players and that the sites met the criteria for the regulator to rule that a company is operating in Sweden.

The sites provided information in Swedish, offered terms and conditions in Swedish and contained an FAQ section in Swedish, Spelinspektionen said.

“The investigation did not reveal any restrictions preventing Swedish consumers from registering and creating an account on the website in question,” the regulator added.
