The 2024 Travers Stakes, a sort of fourth race in the Triple Crown billed as the Midsummer Derby, is for 3-year-old horses, with the 1 1/4-mile distance the same as the Kentucky Derby.

Thorpedo Anna, an amazing filly, is taking on the boys. Sierra Leone, the Derby runner-up, is in the field, as are Belmont Stakes winner Dornoch and reigning 2-year-old champion Fierceness.
