Sports betting adjusted gross revenue (AGR) in Virginia, US, rose over 120 per cent year-on-year in November.
The Virginia Lottery reported revenue of US$80.6m in November, up 121.8 per cent from November 2023’s $36.4m.
The latest revenue came from total handle of $760.97m, which rose 19.1 per cent year-on-year from $638.8m.
Sports betting taxes in Virginia reached $12.1m, up 120.8 per cent year-on-year from $5.5m in November 2023.
Month-on-month, sports betting handle rose 9.3 per cent, AGR climbed 64.6 per cent and tax rose 64.7 per cent from October 2023.
In the latest reporting period, online operators generated $79.98m of the revenue, with retail activity accounting for the remaining $666,689.
